Router setup and support

New router to connect? Need the right guide for the one you already have? Find router setup instructions, BeFibre manuals and practical WiFi help here.

Start with the name and model on your router, then choose the matching guide below. Different routers have different buttons and settings, so a quick check now saves a lot of guesswork later.

Find your router setup guide

Check the sticker on the bottom or back of your router for its manufacturer and model. The WiFi network name alone may not identify the equipment, particularly if you have changed it.

Match the model to the guide, rather than choosing by colour or shape. Not sure which one you have? Our team can help you identify it before you change any settings.

BeFibre router setup guides

Already have a BeFibre router?

You can keep using your existing equipment as the brands come together. Follow the instructions for that router unless our team has arranged a replacement or asked you to make a change.

Some guides below still carry the BeFibre name and colours. They are here to support the equipment you already use. Choose the guide for your exact model, even if the branding looks different.

BeHub router

Use the BeHub guide that matches your router. Have it open while you check the connections, so you can compare your equipment with the diagrams.

WiFi 7 router

Check the model before opening your WiFi 7 guide. If your label says Heights 6766, the online support collection below also covers that model.

Linksys router

Find your Linksys model on its label and use the matching setup guide. Follow its instructions for any app or browser access; these can differ from other BeFibre routers.

Adtran router setup and login
Use the guide for your Adtran model when connecting equipment or accessing its settings. Router login details and your WiFi password do different jobs, so check which one the instructions ask for.

BeFibre mesh setup and WiFi booster guides

Setting up BeMesh or BeBoost? Use the instructions for both your extender and the router it connects to. Similar names do not mean that every pairing process is the same.

If you have several units, follow the guide in order and check each connection before moving on. It is much easier to spot a missed step with one unit than a houseful.

Give your router a good position

Where possible, keep your router raised, in the open and near the areas where you use WiFi. Walls, furniture and enclosed cupboards can weaken the signal. Your router would rather have a shelf than play hide-and-seek behind the television.

Keep its ventilation clear and avoid stretching cables to reach a new position. Ask our team before moving the fibre connection box or altering the installed fibre cable.

Connect your devices
Select your home WiFi network on your phone, laptop or TV and enter its current WiFi password. If you have never changed it, check your router label or setup guide. For a wired connection, follow the guide to choose the correct Ethernet port.

Check a slow connection
Try the same device closer to your router. If it improves, follow the WiFi troubleshooting guide. You can also compare with an Ethernet speed test where your equipment supports it. This helps separate a wireless coverage problem from the broadband connection itself.

Need help with your router or connection

Tell us your router model, what is happening and whether one device or the whole home is affected. If a light is flashing, note its colour and which light it is. These details help us choose the right next step.

Keep your fibre connection box switched on unless our support team specifically asks you to turn it off.

Avoid a factory reset unless the correct guide or our team tells you to do one; it can remove saved settings.

Your router setup questions answered

Which router setup guide should I use

Use the manufacturer and model printed on your router to choose the matching guide. If your equipment is not listed, contact our team. Another router’s instructions may use different ports, buttons or settings.

You do not need to replace it just because BeFibre is becoming part of Zzoomm. Keep using your existing equipment unless we contact you about a replacement or changes to your service.

They were written for equipment supplied by BeFibre. We are keeping those instructions available while the branding is updated. The model covered by the guide is what matters when choosing it.

Check the guide for your exact router. The address and credentials used to open its settings vary by model. Your online customer account login is separate from your router login.

It depends on the model and which light is showing. Check your guide’s light descriptions and tell our team if the connection is not working. One colour does not mean the same thing on every router.

A compatible booster or mesh unit can improve wireless coverage around your home. It does not change the speed of your broadband subscription. Its position and connection to your router also affect the results.

You can use your own equipment, but compatibility and setup requirements need checking. Zzoomm’s support and diagnostics may be limited, and we may ask you to reconnect the supplied router while investigating a problem.

Check the troubleshooting instructions for your model first. Restarting and factory resetting are different actions. A factory reset can remove your settings, so follow the correct guide or speak to our team before doing it.
