Installing Zzoomm via an overhead pole

Connecting your home to the Zzoomm network is easy, we just need to send an engineer or two to your property to do the work. Our free expert set up is worth a whopping £650 and typically takes less than 2-hours. Below is a video on what to expect when we arrive to install Zzoomm via an overhead pole.

If you’re having a PIA Overhead Installation then our broadband is delivered to you directly via telephone pole outside of your property or along the street. This is a fairly straightforward installation but does require a survey first, just to make sure that the existing infrastructure at your property that we’ll be utilising is in tip top condition. Whilst 99% of PIA Underground installations go smoothly, we recommend that you keep an overlap with your existing broadband connection just in case something goes amiss that requires rectification before we can connect your home.

A couple of things to note about your installation:

  • We do require someone to be in and available when we come to do the initial survey (if required) as we will need to access the inside of your home as well as the outside.
  • On the day of installation, we will need an adult who is over 18 to be present, this is because they will need to sign off the work to confirm that they understand and are happy with everything.
  • Whichever installation method we use, we will need to drill a very small hole through your wall to bring the connection inside. This will be done in a discreet area with minimal visual impact alongside consultation with you.
  • Our experts will discuss with you what your needs are and will work out the best possible route for connection and location of your Zzoomm Hub. If you’ve added additional Wi-Fi points to your order, our team will configure and set them up as part of your free installation, to optimise Wi-Fi coverage in your home.
