Consoles, TV boxes & equipment

Internet access drives so much of our entertainment these days, and following our tips below will help make sure your entire family can enjoy their tech no matter whether their gaming, streaming or anything-else-ing!

Here are a few quick tips for you to get the most out of your bandwidth-hungry entertainment devices.

Direct Ethernet Connection
Use the Zzoomm Hub’s Ethernet ports wherever possible. It provides a faster, more reliable connection while reducing ‘load’ on the Wi-Fi Hub for better wireless speeds across the home.

This is ideal for your most data-hungry devices like Smart TVs, Gaming consoles, streaming devices, and desktop computers.

Simply use CAT6 Ethernet cable to connect the Ethernet port on your device to one of the four yellow ports on your Zzoomm Hub. (CAT 5e is also compatible but you might not get the full speed).

For devices without an Ethernet port, adaptors can be purchased online or at electronic shops.

Wi-Fi
Please connect any media streaming (game consoles, PCs, and mobile phones) to the ‘FAST’ (5Ghz) network for faster speeds – Check out your installation guide if you’re not sure how.
When using Wi-Fi with a Sky Q box, the box will only find the 2.4Ghz Zzoomm network. This is because it reserves the 5Ghz network for connecting to Sky Q Mini boxes.
