Zzoomm sees first customer installed and a 20% take up in Shiplake since go live

Zzoomm, the Full Fibre broadband provider, has recently announced that take-up of their Full Fibre broadband in Shiplake (Oxfordshire) has already exceeded 20% of available Ready for Service properties since going live on the 20th December 2023.

Shiplake is a natural extension of the Henley-on-Thames build, which was completed in 2021. The Shiplake extension has delivered 50% of the build to date and will cover some 600 properties with a completed build February 2024 – it joins nearby Sandhurst and Crowthorne as part of Zzoomm’s network in the Southeast.

Access to Full Fibre has never been so important to the levelling up of connectivity in many towns previously ignored by the major broadband network providers.

Shiplake is one of the best-connected villages in the UK; Zzoomm will revolutionise life for households and businesses across the village. This announcement follows the news that more than 1 in 3 Henley-on-Thames residents are now Zzoomm customers, proving the local appetite for such a significant infrastructure upgrade.

Residents of Shiplake can look forward to the 5-star broadband experienced by their neighbours along the river. As Neil, a Henley resident put it “What’s Not to Like?! Indispensable super-fast dedicated fibre line, direct to my studio at The Henley Village. Not a single problem and faultless service. Good rates. Zzoomm is a no-brainer.”

Chris Collinson, Chief Commercial Officer at Zzoomm commented:

“We are delighted to drive innovation through access to our gigafast Full Fibre network to homes and businesses in Shiplake.

It’s clear that Shiplake residents and businesses have really understood the benefits of gigafast broadband and are taking advantage of our investment in future-ready Full Fibre broadband.

We’re delighted to welcome so many residents of Shiplake to Zzoomm in only the few weeks since finishing the build.

At Zzoomm, we believe that everyone should have access to reliable, future ready broadband.”
